New full 34mm throat carb 34 pict 3 this is similar to the above, but has a bigger throat and also the pollution control is the same as stock. Some people like these better than the above. I think they are equal but these cost more.

Weber Progressive Carbs

The original carburetor on VW is built by Solex. It’s a solid design but if you have gone to modifications in the engine to get more power, then you probably need the Weber Conversion. Most European race cars use Weber carburetors. They are simple yet allow high performance. High performance Weber carburetors allow a modified engine to achieve its maximum potential. They flow more air and to achieve its maximum potential. They flow more air and gasoline than stock; consequently more power. The progressive carb comes complete with center modified, linkage, and air cleaner. It’s possible to use this on a stock engine and you can get improved performance and gas mileage but most people only get tickets. A mechanical advance distributor helps use the full potential of the Weber carburetor but it is not essential. SEE NOTE ABOVE*

BUG FUEL INJECTION

Beetle fuel injection is fast starting, smooth & powerful, when running right! Repair is usually simple, once you’ve found the exact problem. Almost always it’s just removing and replacing only one component. If your mechanic says you need to replace this+ this, tow your bug somewhere else! 99% of the time it’s only one problem. You can remove and that one item yourself, once the problem is diagnosed. The Bosh Fuel injection manual or Bentley manual, (see index) and/or a phone call to us will help diagnose the problem.
