The Vanagon 1986-92 was upgraded with a larger 2100cc engine in 1986 and the next major visible change came in 1988 with aerodynamic bumpers, body skirts, aerodynamic head lights, mag wheels and the like. Did you know that Vanagons had a top crash rating and are considered very safe?

  Recycled Jack was moving one with the fork truck and had it way up high--not good. He claims that someone distracted him, and the van fell about 12 feet to the hard concrete.  It was a parts van, so it didn’t really matter. But the amazing thing was that the front of the van was hardly damaged-- just a few small dents. We since revoked Recycled Jack’s forklift license!
