AIR-CONDITIONING

We carry all air-conditioning parts remanufactured or new. Many of the cars we dismantle are equipped with A/C. If you have a problem with your air - call us before you agree to spend the family fortune on a repair. One of the most popular parts is the condenser. This is the radiator looking device which sits against the actual radiator at the front of the car. and circulates the refrigerant under pressure. If they leak or have been damaged in a wreck, causing a leak, you need a replacement. The compressors also are an expensive component if they fail. The compressor is the belt driven pump attached to the engine. It has a clutch assembly on the front of it that engages and disengages when you turn the air on (that clicking sound you hear is the clutch engaging). The compressor compresses the gas into a liquid, and compressor pressurizes the A/C system allowing the refrigerant to work properly. Compressors can develop leaks (no more pressure) or they can seize up inside (they won't turn). If you need a compressor, get the part numbers and any brand name identification you can see on it and call for an affordable solution.

We sell many other parts for air conditioning systems, receiver - driers, high-pressure lines, brackets, and controls, ducts and vents from the interior. Call with your needs! Don't pay $300  to $500 for a new one - SAVE!! We have good used ones from $80 ea. Our chart shows the most common units.

DON’T BE SNOWED! – AC REPAIR IS EASY!

Even I, the great, was snowed about air-conditioning until recently.

Air-conditioning is simple, the new “Clean Air Act – No Ozone” has allowed AC shops to make you think it’s high science and complicated (it ain’t) so, they can charge outrageous fees to fix it.

AC has basically four parts:

1.) A rotary pump which compresses gas to liquid

2&3.) Two radiators, one to dump the heat, one to dump the cold

4.) A spray valve

That’s all, except for a few hoses, etc. It’s not rocket science. YOU CAN DO IT!

What’s wrong with all AC system is ONE (not two) leak.  Have a shop find the leak for you. They do it with colored dye. Buy the part from us and R&R (remove it and replace it). Then have the shop charge it. NO BIG DEAL!
