bought your TDI, what with all the money you are

going to save on fuel and maintenance costs. At

least until you priced out the timing belt service at

the dealer! At that point, like most people, you

probably figured you’d do it yourself. At least until

you priced out the tools required to change the belt.

Well, we now have them and they won’t break the

bank. For the advanced DIYer, we also offer the

scan tool cable (see pg. R-11) to electronically

adjust your basic pump timing.

INDICATOR TOOL for BOSCH

DIESEL INJECTION TIMING

This tool allows for the accurate setting of the Bosch

diesel fuel injection pump timing. In operation it screws into the back of the injection

pump giving a dial indicator reading necessary for setting the correct pump timing.

This quality tool comes complete with a dial indicator which reads in graduations of

0.01mm. This makes the timing easy to set as the timing has a range from 0.83mm to

1.15mm. For use on VW

and Audi

diesels (Not TDI’s).

OXYGEN SENSOR WRENCH

This handy tool has been developed to easily remove

CIS - fuel injectors on many inline engines, includ-

ing all gasoline water-cooled Volkswagen

, Porsche

924, and Audi

automobiles. In operation, this tool

fits down around the injector base and with the use

of a screwdriver as a lever it “pops" out the injector,

eliminating possible damage to the injector hose and to one’s hands.

Made from quality steel, this tool comes with a black oxide finish.

This unique wrench has been developed to eas-

ily facilitate the removal and replacement of the

oxygen sensor located in the exhaust mani-

folds. Its compact design with a 3/8 inch square

drive allows for easy access to the oxygen sen-

sor which is often located in a very confined

tool with its 22mm - 7/8 inch 12 point socket

works on both Foreign and Domestic cars.

CAMSHAFT LOCKING PLATE

This tool has been designed to aid in the changing

of the camshaft drive belt. In operation it locks the

camshaft in the correct position allowing the drive

belt to be removed. If the drive belt has been broken

or is missing this tool will locate the general timing

position of the cam as called for in the belt installa-

tion instructions. This camshaft locking plate has

been made with a precision ground finish for an

INJECTION PUMP LOCKING PIN

This tool has been designed to aid in the

changing of the camshaft drive belt. In opera-

tion it locks the Bosch diesel injection pump

sprocket in position. This allows the drive belt

to be removed without the injector loosing its

general timing position. If the drive belt has

been broken or is missing this tool will locate

the general timing position of the pump as

called for in the belt installation instructions.

This locking pin is made of steel with a preci-

sion ground circumference for an accurate fit.

Valve Adjustment Pliers

These pliers have been developed to be

used along with both valve adjustment

tool #8310 and #79500. With the adjust-

ment tool forcing the valve lifters down

away from the camshaft, these pliers

reach around the camshaft to grip the

spacer shim and lift it up away from the

lifter. They feature a 1/4 inch solid shoul-

der bolt for a hinge, a stainless steel

spring, extra thick hand grips, and a dual

surface contact area for the best possible

grip on the spacer shim. These pliers are

made of a stainless steel to last a lifetime.

STRUT MOUNT TOOL

This unique tool has been designed to allow for the easy removal and installation of the

top shock retaining nut used on most from wheel drive Volkswagens

and Audis

Removal of this nut is difficult as it is round on the outside and only has a slot across

the top for gripping. The shock shaft also can rotate and must be held from turning

when the nut is removed or installed. This speciality tool has a slot drive to fit the slot

in the top of the retaining nut, a hole through its center to allow for an allen wrench to

hold the shock from turning, and a 22mm/7/8 inch hex diameter for easy wrench usage.

Made from heat treated steel, this tool comes in a black finish.

made, but it works and will last for 100 spring

jobs. It’s plenty strong enough for VW

springs,

a little weak for Ford Truck springs. It’s low

price can fool you. Follow the directions.

This tool removes the nut need-

ed to take the strut off your car.

It’s not absolutely necessary but

it makes the job easier. You can

manage with a socket, vise grip

and allen wrench but it’s hard.
