MK2 and MK3 Coolant Temperature Sender

Coolant Temperature Sensor: Jetta, Golf, Passat & Others 85-99 - Clip-In, ECU

VW coolant temperature sensor. This sensor mounts in your water cooling flange and sends engine temperatures to the electronic control module. A bad sensor will send incorrect engine temps to your computer which could throw off your fuel mileage. This is a blue, 2pin, 20mm clip in style sensor with no threads.

Do-it-Yourself Tip

The VW coolant temp sensor clips in to the water flange, not screws in. The clips shown below hold them in place. So order a set in case you break them. Also add in a new o-ring to keep leaks from developing around your sensor.
