Refundable Core Charge

If a product you are purchasing has a core charge you will see it in your shopping cart under the product.

A core charge is a little like a bottle deposit. You pay a core charge when you buy a rebuildable product, and get your money back when you return the core.

Cores are the used parts that may be returned when purchasing rebuildable parts. New, used, and remanufactured products may have a core charge. We send cores to our rebuilders to create a remanufactured part. Having a core charge on most rebuildable parts helps us keep our prices low, is a great way to recycle, and ensures there is product available for the next customer. If a core deposit is shown, this charge will be added to your total at the time of sale but is refundable upon the return of your rebuildable original part. Cores are valuable to us; we need them back on a timely basis to be rebuilt so we have product to sell to the next customers. (See core return policy under warranties and return for more info)

If you have any concerns or questions about the core charge or shipping charges, please call us at 586.757.2300.

VW TDI mass air meter. The VW mass air flow meter measures the amount of air that the engine takes in so that the correct amount of fuel can be added. They can be physically damaged if unfiltered air is allowed into the intake or contaminated if oils are drawn in with the air. If yours isn't reading correctly it will cause your mileage to drop or the engine to run poorly; replace it.

Condition: New

Warranty

All products carry a 100 day warranty. Engines, cylinder heads, and injection pumps carry an extended 12 month warranty. See our warranty page for details.

Do-it-Yourself Tip

Protect your sensitive VW TDI air flow meter with a working, clean air filter. A bad air flow meter may let your engine run out of tune and produce some very dirty oil. Take this time to change your oil over to a high quality synthetic to protect your Jetta or Golf TDI engine.
