Refundable Core Charge

If a product you are purchasing has a core charge you will see it in your shopping cart under the product.

A core charge is a little like a bottle deposit. You pay a core charge when you buy a rebuildable product, and get your money back when you return the core.

Cores are the used parts that may be returned when purchasing rebuildable parts. New, used, and remanufactured products may have a core charge. We send cores to our rebuilders to create a remanufactured part. Having a core charge on most rebuildable parts helps us keep our prices low, is a great way to recycle, and ensures there is product available for the next customer. If a core deposit is shown, this charge will be added to your total at the time of sale but is refundable upon the return of your rebuildable original part. Cores are valuable to us; we need them back on a timely basis to be rebuilt so we have product to sell to the next customers. (See core return policy under warranties and return for more info)

If you have any concerns or questions about the core charge or shipping charges, please call us at 586.757.2300.

VW Beetle tie rod assembly. The tie rod assembly is a brand new tie rod with a new tie rod end attached. These are OEM quality. If you have had a collision with a curb or a pot hole, or you are having trouble getting your alignment right, make sure you check your tie rod. The rod itself can be bent and/or the tie rod end can develop too much slack.

Condition: New

Warranty

All products carry a 100 day warranty. Engines, cylinder heads, and injection pumps carry an extended 12 month warranty. See our warranty page for details.

Do-it-Yourself Tip

It’s best to replace your VW Beetle tie rod assemblies in pairs. The passenger side tie rod assembly is shown below. You may also be noticing extra road vibration because of a dead steering damper. While you are changing out your tie rod make sure to inspect your steering damper for leaks or damage.
