Do-it-Yourself Tip

If you have stripped on cross threaded your VW TDI timing tensioner stud you should consider doing a complete timing kit on your TDI. The life span on the timing belt is typically only about 75,000miles, so don’t push it to far or your VW will be due for some major surgery soon.
