Refundable Core Charge

If a product you are purchasing has a core charge you will see it in your shopping cart under the product.

A core charge is a little like a bottle deposit. You pay a core charge when you buy a rebuildable product, and get your money back when you return the core.

Cores are the used parts that may be returned when purchasing rebuildable parts. New, used, and remanufactured products may have a core charge. We send cores to our rebuilders to create a remanufactured part. Having a core charge on most rebuildable parts helps us keep our prices low, is a great way to recycle, and ensures there is product available for the next customer. If a core deposit is shown, this charge will be added to your total at the time of sale but is refundable upon the return of your rebuildable original part. Cores are valuable to us; we need them back on a timely basis to be rebuilt so we have product to sell to the next customers. (See core return policy under warranties and return for more info)

If you have any concerns or questions about the core charge or shipping charges, please call us at 586.757.2300.

VW ball joint. The ball joint connects the lower control arm to the spindle. Check the joint for any free play, if the boot rips or is worn out from use, purchase our OEM quality replacement ball joints and you'll be amazed how great your steering feels again. Best if both sides are replaced at the same time. Works on both driver and passenger side of your VW Jetta, Golf, Passat, Cabrio, or Corrado G60.

Condition: New

Warranty

All products carry a 100 day warranty. Engines, cylinder heads, and injection pumps carry an extended 12 month warranty. See our warranty page for details.

Do-it-Yourself Tip

Make sure you replace those nasty old rusty bolts with fresh ones when you install your VW ball joint. Check to see if your lower control arm is rusted or damaged in any way. If it is, replace it. A damaged control arm will effect your steering and alignment.
