These are made in Europe diesel pistons oversized in +0.020 or +0.040 for your 1.6 Diesel 1981-1992. We purchased all these as Turbo Pistons. This means they will go in your Turbo or Non-Turbo diesel. The turbo Piston has the same dimensions EXACTLY as the regular diesel, but the material is better for the heat. So you get better for the same price
You can rebuild your non-turbo diesel using turbo pistons and the advantages are MANY:
-First if you ever want to convert to turbo you’re halfway there!
-Second, Turbo Pistons are Tougher than non-turbo.
A. They are a better material
B. Very Important: They have in effect 5 piston rings per piston! The upper rings have 2 steel extra rings built into the piston above and below each ring built so the ring glands do not wear out. See the picture! It’s steel on steel not on aluminum. This is needed for a Turbo but extra good in a non-turbo. LOOK!
