The Beetle is an international car. Beetles were assembled in Brazil, Mexico and Germany.  Parts are made in lots of different countries. Quality parts are made in other countries besides Germany, but when it comes to exhausts, Brazilian and Mexican aren't exactly as good, but are less expensive. We carry both for Bugs. Our German mufflers are usually Leistritz, an OEM manufacturer. They are EXCELLENT.  Never a problem.

Our Brazilian and Mexican mufflers are very good; they will last longer if you drive at least 10 miles when you run your car. This will get them hot, and burn the moisture out of them. This is particularly important if storing the car for the winter. If you only have to drive it 100 feet to the barn, push it or let it run until it is hot before you store it!

NOS German Tailpipes

(The last few remaining)

For the last 15 years, everyone--us included, the dealer, all the Bug Specialist, everyone on the internet has been selling Mexican or Brazilian or Taiwan tail pipes.  They were cheap and all you could get!

WE found some German NOS(new old stock) Tail Pipes! We got a call from a building wrecker in Brooklyn, he was about to tear down an old customs warehouse and found a pallet full of REAL German (stamped “Made in W. Germany.” These were made before the wall came down!).  We bought them, along with some made in the USA tools--more about that later.

These are the LAST of the German tail pipes.

Heat Exchangers

Prices for VW Heat Exchangers have been jumping like crazy! You would have done well to invest in a truckload of them last year! We have the best prices in town, but it is twice what they were four years ago. Ours are first quality. There are others with thinner metal, but we turn them down. They look very similar, but weigh a pound or two less per part, and they can't last as long.

If you don't deal with us, be careful or sell your car . . . FAST!

We sell GOOD Muffler Installation Kits. There is a difference. You can buy JUNK muffler installation kits for a dollar less and they will give you an hour's worth of hassle. Dealing with professionals like us who know what they're doing can save you 10 bucks on a Brazilian muffler that will work fine but we know not to sell the JUNK install Kits because they are not as good. If you deal with the typical mail order company they don't know the difference.
