BODY GASKET

Body Gasket between the body and the floor pan of Beetles. Whenever you remove the body from the chassis or replace a floorboard or heater channel, you should replace the body gasket.  Early Beetles used a heavy gasket shaped like a double S. These are frequently reusable but the newer ones rip and must be replaced.  The gasket we sell is the double S style and includes enough  for an entire car.

NOTE: Almost any shop can weld floor pans,          heater channels, etc., into your Beetle. Many collision shops are too snooty to do restoration work, but keep asking around, there are plenty of shops out there that will do a great job for a fair price.

NOTE: Fenders, hood, & major pieces of sheet metal are shipped 1/2 way around the world to New York or L.A. and then 1/2 way around the U.S. to us at Parts Place and then to you. They are likely to have minor scrapes or dings. These can be fixed in the normal painting process. *Packaging Charge of $15.00 for 1 fender or $30.00 for 2 to 4 fenders on all shipped fenders.

Bug Restoration in 5 Days Video

This home grown unprofessional video was taken as we restored a Bug in 5 days.

Long Story: A T.V. crew wanted a sun roof Bug for a commercial. I said you can have it for the commercial if you pay to have it restored, they said O.K. can we have it next monday! So we did it and they paid $4000 for a one day rental.  Lots of info if you have floor boards to replace and rust damage and painting. Video approx. 2 hours.
