If your high or low beams do not work on either one or the other brightness, but work on one brightness, the problem is most likely the HEADLAMP RELAY. If only one headlamp has a defective high or low beam in it, then the problem 99.9% of the time is the bulb itself, but if neither bulb works, it's the relay. The relay plugs into the fuse box and will have a number very similar to the number listed below.

TECH TIP: The Turn Of A Screw.
Do you have a broken or missing Lens? Stones and parking lots wreak havoc upon them. Ghia owners beware, because people even steal them! We've got replacements for them, New and Recycled!
Turn signal lens and taillight lens’ can be replaced with a Phillips head screwdriver. Most of the assemblies can be removed with a 10mm wrench and the wire connections plug on and off. Don't over tighten the lens or it will crack.
Parts Place has Taillight Lenses assemblies, frames, etc. for all Beetles, Bus, Type III and IV, Ghia and Thing from ‘67-79 and most other years. Specify year, make, model, whether you need a lens or entire assembly and side, passenger (P) or drivers (D).
This is just a small sample of what we carry. We have just 99.9% of everything from ‘65-92 and 90% of the stuff before and after. We have an excellent supply of used lights, lenses and assemblies. You don't have to buy new, some of the new lens, particularly for the Ghia are only made in one factory in Germany and you can pay a fortune for a few made of "Genuine German Plastic".
