Do-it-Yourself Tip

After using the VW 1.8L 16V head gasket set to rebuild your head make sure you use new high quality cylinder head bolts to install it. The set shown below is for all 16V engines. You should also use a high quality gasket dressing like Hylomar to seal the cylinder head gasket.
