PCV Valve: Jetta, Golf, Passat 96-99 - TDI

VW TDI PCV valve. The PCV valve is also called the pressure regulating valve. Symptoms of a bad crankcase ventilation valve are rough idle, or finding oil on your air filter. When it gets clogged up with carbon deposits gasses can’t escape from the crankcase and recirculate to your intake manifold for a re-burn.
