VW TDI crank timing gear. The crank gear is designed to get the timing of the crank in sequence with the timing of the cam in the cylinder head. If they fall out of sync you risk causing catastrophic engine failure. Uses a 14mm bolt (not included). For the BEW and BHW engines only.

Install a new timing belt with your new VW TDI crank timing gear. Its best to replace it now to save yourself the trouble of setting your timing again. We also carry a timing belt tensioning tool. This makes installing the timing belt easy as pie.
