VW Jetta TDI cam position sensor. The cam position sensor (hall sender) sends information to the ECU so it can make performance adjustments. Without this sensor working properly in your engine, you will notice more misfires, and poor gas mileage. Replace so that your engine can return to normal, and stop misfiring. Also knon as the G40 sensor. For BRM engine only.

The best way to do this is with a scanner, then refer to the Bently manuals to find out the proper steps to fix any code you pull. You may be surprised at how easy it is to really keep up on repairs on your VW.
