Keep your VW 2.0L common rail TDI piston set lubricated with the correct oil. The TDI Common Rail engines require low ash oils to keep the DPF from getting clogged; that is what the 504 and 507 spec was created for. When working on the latest VWs, a scanner to read codes from the computers is critical to diagnosing problems. The scanner below will allow you to read and clear codes on your Jetta or Golf TDI. It is designed to work with the most recent EODB VWs and the older ODBII vehicles as well.
