If you need a VW timing tool kit to set the timing for a new pump, don't install a cheap new timing belt. Make sure you only use high quality OE timing belts. In addition, the tensioner pulley is as critical as the timing belt itself. At minimum it must be carefully examined and/or replaced every 3 years; quality tensioner is as important as a quality belt.
