VW mechanical lifter. These mechanical lifters (also called cam followers) are original equipment replacement parts. These lifters use removable shims to adjust the opening height. Priced for each lifter. 1 needed for each valve in the engine. Sold each.

Do-it-Yourself Tip

When replacing the VW mechanical lifters in your Beetle or Bus make sure to have a set of shims and shim pliers handy to adjust the lifters to the proper settings. Setting your valves properly is critical to creating all the power your engine was designed to put out.
