Refundable Core Charge

If a product you are purchasing has a core charge you will see it in your shopping cart under the product.

A core charge is a little like a bottle deposit. You pay a core charge when you buy a rebuildable product, and get your money back when you return the core.

Cores are the used parts that may be returned when purchasing rebuildable parts. New, used, and remanufactured products may have a core charge. We send cores to our rebuilders to create a remanufactured part. Having a core charge on most rebuildable parts helps us keep our prices low, is a great way to recycle, and ensures there is product available for the next customer. If a core deposit is shown, this charge will be added to your total at the time of sale but is refundable upon the return of your rebuildable original part. Cores are valuable to us; we need them back on a timely basis to be rebuilt so we have product to sell to the next customers. (See core return policy under warranties and return for more info)

If you have any concerns or questions about the core charge or shipping charges, please call us at 586.757.2300.

VW control arm bushing. This control arm bushing fits in the bushing spot in the front of the control arms in the front of the vehicle. They help dampen the suspension while going down the road. If you notice excessive noise from your front suspension or extra play in your steering it could be this bushing. Drivers and passenger side are the same. Sold each, 2 required per vehicle.

Condition: New

Warranty

All products carry a 100 day warranty. Engines, cylinder heads, and injection pumps carry an extended 12 month warranty. See our warranty page for details.

Do-it-Yourself Tip

If your front VW control arm bushing has failed in your Rabbit, Scirocco, or Cabriolet inspect the other bushings in your control arm. You can replace it all in one shot and reinstall your control arm with new hardware with the control arm mounting kit shown below. This is also a good time to replace the ball joint on your Volkswagen; they can be tough to remove so you may end up damaging yours. A direct fit replacement is shown below.
