Control Arm Bushing: Jetta, Golf, 85-99 & Others - Front

VW control arm bushing. This control arm bushing fits in the large control arm opening in the rear of the control arms in the front of the vehicle. They help dampen the suspension while going down the road. If you notice excessive noise from your front suspension or extra play in your steering it could be this bushing. You may also need the inner sleeve (part #9330). Drivers and passenger side are the same. Sold each, 2 required per vehicle.

Do-it-Yourself Tip

If your rear VW control arm bushing has failed in your Golf, Jetta, Corrado, or Passat inspect the other bushings in your control arm. You can replace it all in one shot and reinstall your control arm with new hardware with the control arm mounting kit shown below. This is also a good time to replace the ball joint on your Volkswagen; they can be tough to remove so you may end up damaging yours. A direct fit replacement is shown below.
