Brake Caliper Pin Kit: Jetta Golf 85-92, Scirocco 84-88 & Others, Front

VW Brake Caliper Pin Kit. These pins hold the calipers in place while allowing enough movement so that the brake pads squeeze equally on each side of the rotor. If yours are rusted, bent, or damaged, they can cause uneven pad wear, noise, and even change how well your brakes stop the car. This kit includes the pins, boots, sleeves, and lubrication to repair two calipers.

You may need a new caliper if you find a caliper pin is stuck in the caliper on your Volkswagen. Sometime you can tap them out, but you run the risk of cracking the caliper casting. Also a new set of pads should be installed at this time if yours are nearly worn away. Both parts are shown below.
