MK3 Jetta & Golf Front Strut Mount

Strut Mount: Jetta, Golf 93-99, Cabrio 95-02 & Others - Front

This VW strut mount is the circular rubber part at the top of the shock tower, and does not include the bearing inside. Strut mounts carry the load of the vehicle over the front suspension and if the rubber separates, you will get banging and clunking whenever you drive over bumps and expansion joints. This also affects the alignment and can cause extra wear on tires and other parts. If they are worn out, it's time to replace them before they do more damage.

Change the strut mount and bearing together as a pair for best results. Installing the strut mount requires the springs to be compressed. There is a lot of pressure on the springs so make sure you use the right tools. No sense in hurting yourself on a simple job like this.
