Refundable Core Charge

If a product you are purchasing has a core charge you will see it in your shopping cart under the product.

A core charge is a little like a bottle deposit. You pay a core charge when you buy a rebuildable product, and get your money back when you return the core.

Cores are the used parts that may be returned when purchasing rebuildable parts. New, used, and remanufactured products may have a core charge. We send cores to our rebuilders to create a remanufactured part. Having a core charge on most rebuildable parts helps us keep our prices low, is a great way to recycle, and ensures there is product available for the next customer. If a core deposit is shown, this charge will be added to your total at the time of sale but is refundable upon the return of your rebuildable original part. Cores are valuable to us; we need them back on a timely basis to be rebuilt so we have product to sell to the next customers. (See core return policy under warranties and return for more info)

If you have any concerns or questions about the core charge or shipping charges, please call us at 586.757.2300.

VW power steering pressure switch. The power steering pressure switch is mounted to the power steering pump. Sometimes they are the source of leaks in the system and simply need to be replaced. The pressure switch is also part of your VWs idle stabilization system and will raise your engines idle speed to compensate for low pressure. If you have replaced all the other switches trying to sort out your high idle issue, this may be your last option.

Condition: New

Warranty

All products carry a 100 day warranty. Engines, cylinder heads, and injection pumps carry an extended 12 month warranty. See our warranty page for details.

Do-it-Yourself Tip

The VW power steering pressure switch is bolted through the pressure line to the power steering pump. When it’s time to replace your switch you will need to have some new power steering fluid to top off your system. If you have a legitimate low pressure issue in your Jetta, Golf, or New Beetle we have new original equipment quality power steering pumps.
