Main Bearing Set: TDI Pumpe Duse and Common Rail

VW TDI main bearing set. These main bearings hold the crankshaft in place within the engine block, and wear out over time. A lot of cold starts and driving farther between oil changes causes even more wear. Change these if you are removing the rods and pistons; it's cheap insurance against a major rebuild later. Does not include thrust bearings.

Do-it-Yourself Tip

If you are replacing your VW TDI main bearings you will need new main cap bolts. The TDI main cap bolts are stretch bolts that must be replaced when removed from the engine. Along with a new thrust washer, this set up is the total package for rebuilding your TDI bottom end.
