You should not replace your VW VR6 timing chain tension adjuster alone. It is one part of a complete set that should all be done at one time. The timing chain kit shown below has all the parts you need to keep your VR6 engine rattle free. Of course this isn't the easiest job for any do it yourselfer, but having a Bentley manual with you through this surgical procedure will make it much easier.
