VW axle nut. The axle nut holds the axle splines to the front hubs. If you are replacing your front wheel bearing assembly or need to remove your drive shaft, and find yours stripped or damaged this is the replacement for you.

Do-it-Yourself Tip

Remove the VW axle nut with the 30mm socket. If your goal is to remove the driveshaft, you will also need the CV bolt tool. Once all of the bolts are free, the driveshaft should slide out. You may need a few hits of the hammer on the splines but it should come right out.
