This kit includes 8 hoses; one heater core to valve hose, heater core to head hose, heater valve to water pipe hose, one lower radiator hose, one upper radiator hose, one water pump to water pipe hose, one water pump to cylinder head hose, and one expansion tank hose. Hoses deteriorate over time and it is very difficult to determine if they are about to burst. If you haven't changed your hoses in the last few years, or if one of your hoses has burst, replace them all. It will save you time and money in the long run.

Volkswagen specifies phosphate/silicate-free coolant in all their vehicles. Our German Pentosin coolant exceeds all VW requirements. While you have your cooling system apart, it's a good idea to replace your thermostat.
