Valve Adjusting Shim Kit: 40 Piece Shim kit for Gas & Diesel engines w/Mechanical Head.

VW valve shims. A Volkswagen head with mechanical lifters requires the use of shims for proper adjustment. These shims allow you to vary the gap between the camshaft and the lifters to bring the gap to within factory specifications. This includes most commonly used sizes from 3.00mm to 3.90mm.

Do-it-Yourself Tip

Use the #13682 tool to make installing the VW Valve shims easier. Make sure to put the valve cover back on with a new gasket to prevent leaks.
