MK1 and MK2 Driver Side Front Door Handle

Door Handle: Rabbit, Jetta, Golf 78-92 & Others - Front, w/o Key, Driver Side

VW front door handle without key. VW door handles have a tendency to break when they get old, or when you yank on them when they're frozen shut. To replace it takes only a nife and a phillips screwdriver. Pop off the chrome (or black) trim strip with the knife, remove the two screws and switch handles. Install the screws, pop on the chrome and your done! To make sure it doesn't break again, spray the door latch inside the door with WD40 so the mechanism operates smoothly and doesn't stick.
