Much Improved!
Haynes books are the book to buy for the average “do-it-yourselfer.” These books cost about $25 at the book stores. We sell them for $21.95.
We have them almost at no cost because we figure if you know how to fix your VW, you’ll buy more parts from us. These manuals are much improved over earlier editions. They are a lower cost alternative to the Bentley manuals and in some ways better. Very useful information with pictures of actual cars (real dirt on the parts) not engineering models. Not as prestigious, but great. The Haynes books cover almost everything the average backyard repair man can do. The tools described are ordinary tools that one might already have. For most people the Hynes books are the best buy.
Haynes books are based on a complete tear down and reassembly for every car covered.
Haynes VW Manuals
Haynes Manual Golf/Jetta & Cabrio ‘99.5-’02 (and it will also cover most stuff for ‘03 & ‘04). It includes regular 8 valve Gas engine and the TDI diesel (It does not cover the VR6-6 cylinder motor and transmission). The rest of the cars except engines are the same.
