THE SOLUTION FOR YOUR TIRED OLD DIESEL!
Earlier this year, as fuel prices started to jump, we sold out of our remaining new 1.9 longblocks and early (‘96-’99) TDI engines. Unfortunately, right now we are not able to get any more of these new engines, though we still have new late (‘98-’03) TDI engines available. We do have a rebuilder building 1.6 longblocks for us. The good news is that the work is top-notch, they are very thorough and methodical! The bad news is that the rebuilder is slow and methodical! We can’t always keep up with the demand for these engines.
For those of you who are inclined to do your own work, or have a good mechanic, we have a solution that will get you back on the road and save you money in the bargain!
Level 1:
All Our Master Engine Rebuild Kits include “BASE KIT”
~ complete engine gasket set
~ head gasket and sealant & value seals
~ heat shields for the injectors
~ main bearings, rod bearings, rod bushings
~ intermediate shaft bearings pre-reamed
~ oil pump - high volume
~ head bolt set
~ diesel timing belt and tensioner pulley
~ water pump
~ thermostat and O-rings
~ oil filter
~ air filter (1.5/1.6 only)
Also included are a set of new piston rings
and a set of 8 new valves and more!!
This is our BASE rebuild kit and can be
upgraded 3 ways:
Level A: - adds a new set of pistons, in place
of the rings.
Level B: - add a brand new cylinder head, assembled with a new camshaft, valves, springs, etc. (Without the pistons) in place of the valves.
Level C: - adds new pistons and a new
cylinder head. This plus a little labor by you, gives you a “REMANUFACTURED ENGINE” with “ALL NEW PARTS”.
Some of upgrades/substitutions that can be made. We are not Burger King, we are more like your high school cafeteria. You cannot order a rebuild kit with extra head bolts and hold the water pump! Got it? This is the minimum that we recommend to thoroughly overhaul your diesel engine. You should also replace your fuel filter and anything else you notice that looks marginal when you reassemble the engine. You may want to replace injectors, glow plugs, clutch, etc. when you are doing this project. Make a list of other parts you need to buy with the rebuilt kit and call us.
