How To Identify Wheels
Try to locate the style wheel you have on your car by using the pictures on this page.
If you’re looking for a complete set of wheels, or wheels and tires, refer to the style by the letter under the picture and ask your salesperson about your particular application.
Volkswagens have steel or light alloy wheels from the factory. They come in 13”, 14”, 15” or 16” diameters and in widths of 4 1/2” to 6”. All 4 cylinder Volkswagen cars from 1980 - 1998 have the same 4 x 100mm bolt pattern. Most front wheels can be used on any model providing tire size and brake caliper clearance have been considered. Generally, cars with rear disc brakes require a 14” wheel as a minimum diameter.
If you are unsure of which wheel is yours, look under the center cap or hub cap and you will find the size (14” x 6”) and the part number stamped into the wheel. A part number would look like: (191-601-025-B) and is a sure fire way to get the wheel you need in a hurry!
